What CiteLayer AI is

1. An independent AI visibility (Answer Engine Optimization) service that audits and structures a business's existing public web information so AI answer engines can find, describe, and cite it more accurately.
2. A documentation and measurement service: citation testing records observed AI behavior at a point in time, and our score reflects a structural assessment of AI-readiness.

What CiteLayer AI is not

1. Not affiliated. CiteLayer AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google, Anthropic (Claude), Perplexity, or any AI provider or search platform. All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.
2. Not a guarantee. We do not guarantee any specific citation, mention, ranking, position, placement, traffic, lead, conversion, or revenue outcome in any AI engine or platform. These systems are operated by third parties and change without notice. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
3. Not manipulation. We structure accurate information a business already publishes. We do not fabricate, conceal, or misrepresent information, and we do not attempt to deceive or "game" AI systems.
4. Not professional advice. Nothing we provide is medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Clients remain solely responsible for the accuracy and regulatory compliance of their own content and claims.
5. Not a measure of business quality. Our scores reflect technical AI-readiness only. They are not a statement about the quality, competence, safety, or trustworthiness of any business or its products or services.

Scores and published data

Any score, citation-test result, comparison, or market figure we publish — including Sigbase scores — is an assessment of structural AI-readiness based on a defined methodology, expressed as an opinion. It is observed at a point in time, may change as AI systems and the underlying websites change, and is not a statement of fact about the merit of any business. Where a score reflects limited data coverage rather than performance, we label it as such.

Third-party platforms and links

The Services reference and analyze third-party AI engines and may link to third-party sites. We do not control those platforms and are not responsible for their behavior, content, or policies.
